Technique: Cross Collar Choke (taught as the “Roger Choke”)
Feed in the hand to grip the collar knuckle side down and rotate the knuckle on the thumb to be proximate to the carotid artery on the neck. Walk the opposite hand from one side to its opposite. Grab the lapel as close to the neck as possible and cycle the wrists towards the neck. Keep the arms in tight to create the most pressure. If necessary, put head on the mat to make sure that you have a solid base and don’t get swept or reversed. When feeding in second grip, potentially use elbow to make 45 degree movement to expose the neck and feed in second grip.
